- Can I sell my Rolex without papers?
- In most cases, yes. If the box and warranty card are missing, we check authenticity expertly in house; an old purchase receipt or service invoices help. A complete set usually fetches more, but once authenticity is established we make you a fair offer in line with the market even without papers.
- How can I find out what my Rolex is worth?
- Send us photos of the dial, case sides and clasp via WhatsApp, with details of box and papers, for a free, no-obligation appraisal; we make our offer after examining the watch. The reference is on the warranty card or certificate and engraved between the lugs at 12 o’clock, hidden by the bracelet or strap – please do not take it off yourself; we identify the reference ourselves.
- Should I have my Rolex polished before selling it?
- No, please don’t. Polishing removes metal; the edges and bevels of the case lose their original shape, and this cannot be undone. With vintage models in particular, collectors look for an unpolished case. Scratches and signs of wear are normal on a watch that has been worn and are taken into account in the appraisal anyway. At most, clean the watch with a soft, dry cloth.
- Does my Rolex need a service before I sell it?
- No. We check the movement ourselves, and its condition is reflected in our offer. A documented recent service is a plus; one commissioned specifically for the sale is not necessary. We are also happy to appraise a Rolex that needs a service or no longer runs.
- What should I bring when selling my Rolex?
- The watch and everything that belongs to it: box, warranty card or certificate, hangtags, purchase receipt and service invoices, plus any original parts that were replaced, such as an old dial, and links that were taken out of the bracelet. Please also bring a valid identity card or passport.
- How do I receive my money?
- As soon as we agree on the price, we pay out – immediately and discreetly. We discuss the details of the payout with you at the appointment. Until you accept, you are under no obligation; the appraisal remains free even if you decide not to sell.
